A neurodynamic approach for a class of pseudoconvex semivectorial bilevel optimization problem

The article proposes an exact approach to find the global solution of a nonconvex semivectorial bilevel optimization problem, where the objective functions at each level are pseudoconvex, and the constraints are quasiconvex. Due to its non-convexity, this problem is challenging, but it attracts more and more interest because of its practical applications. The algorithm is developed based on monotonic optimization combined with a recent neurodynamic approach, where the solution set of the lower-level problem is inner approximated by copolyblocks in outcome space. From that, the upper-level problem is solved using the branch-and-bound method. Finding the bounds is converted to pseudoconvex programming problems, which are solved using the neurodynamic method. The algorithm's convergence is proved, and computational experiments are implemented to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed approach

Can ChatGPT pass the Vietnamese National High School Graduation Examination?

This research article highlights the potential of AI-powered chatbots in education and presents the results of using ChatGPT, a large language model, to complete the Vietnamese National High School Graduation Examination (VNHSGE). The study dataset included 30 essays in the literature test case and 1,700 multiple-choice questions designed for other subjects. The results showed that ChatGPT was able to pass the examination with an average score of 6-7, demonstrating the technology's potential to revolutionize the educational landscape. The analysis of ChatGPT performance revealed its proficiency in a range of subjects, including mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, civic education, and literature, which suggests its potential to provide effective support for learners. However, further research is needed to assess ChatGPT performance on more complex exam questions and its potential to support learners in different contexts. As technology continues to evolve and improve, we can expect to see the use of AI tools like ChatGPT become increasingly common in educational settings, ultimately enhancing the educational experience for both students and educators.Comment: 9 pages, 13 figures, 4 table

HAPS for 6G Networks: Potential Use Cases, Open Challenges, and Possible Solutions

High altitude platform station (HAPS), which is deployed in the stratosphere at an altitude of 20-50 kilometres, has attracted much attention in recent years due to their large footprint, line-of-sight links, and fixed position relative to the Earth. Compared with existing network infrastructure, HAPS has a much larger coverage area than terrestrial base stations and is much closer than satellites to the ground users. Besides small-cells and macro-cells, a HAPS can offer one mega-cell, which can complement legacy networks in 6G and beyond wireless systems. This paper explores potential use cases and discusses relevant open challenges of integrating HAPS into legacy networks, while also suggesting some solutions to these challenges. The cumulative density functions of spectral efficiency of the integrated network and cell-edge users are studied and compared with terrestrial network. The results show the capacity gains achieved by the integrated network are beneficial to cell-edge users. Furthermore, the advantages of a HAPS for backhauling aerial base stations are demonstrated by the simulation results

Cooperative transmission in cloud RAN considering fronthaul capacity and cloud processing constraints

We investigate the cooperative transmission design for the cloud radio access network (C-RAN) considering fronthaul capacity and cloud processing constraints. Specifically, we consider the joint transmission scheme where the baseband signals and precoding vectors are processed and calculated by the cloud, which are delivered over the fronthaul links to the remote radio heads (RRHs) to form the RF signals for being transmitted to the users. We formulate the joint optimization problem for precoding design and allocation of RRHs, fronthaul capacity, and BBU processing resources to minimize the total transmission power subject to QoS constraints of the users. We present both optimal exhaustive search algorithm and two low-complexity algorithms to solve the resource allocation problem where the first one can achieve the Pareto optimality and the second one can determine an efficient solution with pretty low complexity. Numerical results confirm the excellent performance of the proposed low-complexity algorithms
